From what I can read, a lot of bloggers have amazing stats with their new blogs, and it makes me wonder if I should stay or go and especially if I have any impact.
After six months my statistics are as follows:
10765 Views
3557 Visitors
5281 Likes
2044 comments
375 followers
I would like an honest opinion from the community, telling me not what I want to hear but what do you really feel?

I’m not following your blog since very long, I guess a few weeks or less, but so far I really like your posts and am glad I discovered your blog, I think many other of your readers can say the same. 🙂 As for the stats thing, well, I’m blogging since six months and a few days, and my stats look like this:
489 posts, 1453 comments, 2630 likes, 198 followers, 5101 views and 1774 visitors, so significantly lower than yours – congratulations for that! six months doesn’t seem a long time in blogging. As for whether you should stay or go, I don’t think anyone can give you an appropriate answer for this. I’m sure lots of people like your blog, me included, but it depends on whether you enjoy it, whether you yourself feel like its’ been helpful to you, and if you are satisfied with the numbers of people that are attracted to your writing and whether they’re the right people, the right kind of audience. That’s how I see it anyway. Also I’d think about what, or who, are you writing for – is it for yourself, or for making other people enjoy/relate to your posts, or is it just for pleasure or to make your writing skills better. That all matters in my opinion. But I myself would encourage you to keep going, since it looks like your blog is pretty successful, and it’s very good. Hope that helps a little bit. 🙂

I used the stats to give me some guidance on what I was writing, whether I was pertinent in my articles or out of touch. You answered all these questions with your honest and heartfelt answer.
I write with pure pleasure and definitely not for the money. I will carry on this adventure and see where it takes me.

Stay. You do provide a valuable insight. If this blog works for you, then keep it up. If it doesn’t then don’t. I think most of us do not have the great numbers or followers that some bloggers are able to command.

I needed to have to some feedback and thought that by asking all you I’d get a pretty clear answer. Stay, is difficult have amazing statistics if you don’t pay for it, the real question is if you like write here or not.

Don’t write for stats. For one thing, that doesn’t make you rich.
If you want to keep having high numbers, you need to follow and comment on new blogs each day. You need to have something for people to read each day, too. Poetry seems popular. 🙂

I’m with Chelsea. Are you writing for stats? I got caught up in that for a short period of time but think of the impact you have on your current followers. By your stats, it seems that they are very engaged. Do you show the love to other bloggers? Expand your list of those you follow. Join meet and greets if stats are your concern. You have to promote your blog if you want more. It takes a lot of extra work to do this. Having a large following doesn’t mean more interaction.

I needed to have to some feedback and thought that by asking all you I’d get a pretty clear answer. Which I did. I truly enjoy writing and I find it extremely rewarding and relaxing and I do it. Stay is my vote. I personally don’t look at stats. If you find the blog to be beneficial to you then keep writing. If you were to stop though I know you’d be missed.

With all the positive feedback I will definitely stay.
I use stats as a gage on how well I was doing, helping. But they didn’t give me the feedback I was looking for, so I turned to the community for guidance, which I’ve got. I love writing along with music. Thank you very much for your comment

I agree that you should stay. If you want to expand your reach, I would suggest actively searching for more mental health blogs to follow. If you’re able to connect with mental health bloggers who have just recently started blogging, that’s a good opportunity to get someone really engaged with your blog. I found that it wasn’t until I hit around 500-600 followers that new followers started steadily trickling in without me having to put much effort in.

Thank you for your support and advice. I used stats as a gage to see how well a post is perceived until I realized that I was getting anything back that was valuable. Hence my query to the community and with all the supporting messages that I’ve received it was clear that I will carry on. I will pursue the mental health tip. Do you have anyone in mind in particular? Thanks again for your constant and valuable support.

If you go to the WordPress Reader and enter a search term, e.g. bipolar disorder, on the right-hand side of the screen you’ll get a list of blog related to the search term. That’s a really good way to find new blogs to connect with.

Stay my brother. Write for you not stats or follows if people look and follow that is a bonus. But you provide great insights and beautiful word. I am sure many people can relate to your struggles and that may well be helping them not feel so isolated knowing there is someone out there going through the same……

I will stay, I received so many support messages that motivate to carry on. This blogging community is amazing. I am not writing for the sats but I’ve used them as a gage on well was a post perceived. I am writing because I became passionate about it and found throughout this process, another amazing vector to share feelings which are poems.
