Shoudawoudacouda
What the heck is that?
I shouda
Have listen my parents.
Then what?
I wouda
Have not ended up this way.
It’s a little late for that,
I know, if I couda
I do it over!

I understood the title before I scrolled down to read the poem! I have to tell myself to NOT “Shoudacoudawouda.” For me, it’s a trap. A hole I can’t dig myself out of. I have been trying to learn that the past is in the past. Of course I shoulda and woulda and coulda. It doesn’t help me in any way. To quote my Pastor’s last week’s sermon: “Things happen. Period.”

It is a trap and we have to be able not to fall into it. “You think what you become” Buddah
